The Information Technology Department of China Shipping Container Lines ( Hong Kong) is responsible for enterprises application development, application modification and professional training. However, computers’ hardware, networking, data backup, the faculties of Video Conferencing and peripherals are also important for our department to process and support. In order to catch up our company business growth and various department requests on a sophisticated system, I.T. department is also requested to providing secure and modern solutions.

Nowadays, we are living with a modern technology century; Electronic Data Exchange must be presented with enterprise business for trading partners. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is an application to application exchange of information in a standardized format without manual intervention. It is also a process improvement tool to facilitate the Corporate-to-Corporate exchange of business information in an agreed upon manner that allows organizations to conduct business in a paperless environment and manage information flows more effectively. The EDI partners include Hong Kong International Terminal (HIT), CMS, Depots, Government Agencies, Equipment vendors and Commercial Customers.
