CSCL to spend big on new containers
CHINA Shipping Container Lines has unveiled plans to spend over CNY2 billion (US$248.01 million) on 4,250 TEU containers and 13,500 dry boxes.
CSCL says that it has already signed purchase agreements for the empty containers with China Shipbuilding & Offshore International and Oriental International Holdings.
The move to boost container inventories has been driven by the consistent growth of the line's service offerings to both the Australia trade as well as China's domestic market, Xinhua News Agency explained.
