CSCL to launch three international services this year

CHINA's CSCL has announced that it will introduce three international services in 2006, including the company's seventh European service, the AEX7.

The other two are the Middle East-US west coast service and the Far East-South America west coast service.

Chinese state media said eight 9,600 TEU container ships will be deployed on the AEX7 service, while nine 4,250 TEU vessels will be used on the other two new services.

Xinhua News Agency pointed out that with the three new services, the total capacity of CSCL's vessels will reach 350,000 TEU by the end of this year.
